FROM DANE COUNTY HISTORY 1880
TOWN OF DUNN ADAM BRAM,farmer ,Sec. 5;P.O. Madison;was born in SWITZERLAND 1842,and ,in the spring of 1853,with his parents,he emigrated to AMERICA and to WISCONSIN;after spending a fortnight at MILWAUKEE and nine days in MADISON, they settled on a farm in the town of SPRINGFIELD, DANE COUNTY, WISCONSIN, where his father, MATHIAS BRAM. died in JUNE 1869. ADAM with his brother, began business in 1861, by carring on his father's farm; at the end of the first year the partnership dissolved, and our subject continued to manage the place and 80 acres of his own, adjoining that of his father's; in 1870, he sold a portion of his farm in SPRINGFIELD and bought here, where he now owns 302 acres on SEC 5 AND 8; he sold the remainder in 1877 and bought another farm of 76 acres in the town of FITCHBBURG. MR. BRAM was married in the town of SPRINGFIELD ,DANE CO.,WI.,IN APRIL 1864,to Miss Mary Zwikee,a native of SWITZERLAND,and who came to Wisconsin in 1852; thier children are KATIE, MARY, LOUISA, FRED, WILLIAM.
