    "43. Abraham Stickney, b. in Bradford, Oct. 16, 1703; was m. in Billerica Feb. 20, 1727-8, by Rev. Samuel Ruggles, to Abigail Hall of Dracut. She d. in Tewksbury, June 14, 1785. He was a servant to Benjamin Thurston, and served under Lieut. Peter Abbot, from July 17, to Nov. 14, 1722, [Mass. Muster Rolls, Vol. 1.] Abraham Stickney marched for the relief of Fort William Henry, from Tewksbury to Worcester, in Col. Eleazer Tyng's regiment, as Ensign, in command of soldiers drawn out of Capt. William Brown's company, of Tewksbury, Aug. 10,1757. [Mass. Archives.] He enlisted April 6, 1758, from Tewksbury, aged 55, to go to Lake George, in Col. Eleazer Tyng's regiment, under command of Jeffry Amherst. [Ibid.] He lived in Billerica and Tewksbury, where he was Deacon of the Congregational Church, of which Sampson Spalding was Pastor. Abraham Stickney died in Tewksbury, Aug. 23, 1783."
