Will of "Abraham Fitts of Ipswich ... husbandman", dated 20 Nov 1757, proved 11 Jul 1763, names wife Elisabeth; son Daniel Fitts; daughter Pehhebe Achus; daughter Mary Gourden; daughter Sarah Fitts. Son Daniel to be executor.
↑ No birth record is found. Abraham is listed as first child by James H. Fitts in "Genealogy of the Fitts or Fitz Family", NEHGR, Vol. 22, p. 71 which would imply a birth about 1683. Possibly this is assumption that the eldest son is likely to be named after the father. Possibly there is some unmentioned evidence, such as a deposition, that might support this, but if so, it has not been located. However, since he did not marry until 1722, one could certainly have doubts about this. There are not many gaps in the birth order to place him otherwise.
