"24. Abraham Bowman, born ca. 1785/6, came to Kentucky with his mother and sister Margaret. He was a bachelor and moved to Texas with the Reese family. Under Texas law, his estate went to relatives living in Texas, so went to the Reese family when he died in 1840. Years later some descendants of his sister Barbara filed a claim which was denied but which gives the names of a number of her descendants."
