If this is correct, she was born in 1708 or 1709, and the marriage of her parents must be put earlier. However, the date of her birth here given is believed to be right; … Abilena's existence is proved by the will of her brother, John Gilbert, who, being childless, left legacies to his brothers and sisters, among whom are 'the heirs of Abilena Sexton, deceased.'"
