    Agreement of heirs of Samuel Welles, dated 11 Mar 1728-9, names Thomas Turney and Abigail his wife.

  2. ↑ The birth of Abigail is not recorded in Stratford, unlike brother Samuel's. It seems suspicious that her birth is 2 years to the day after Samuel's birth, as if somebody misread Samuel's birthdate in 1686 as 1688.
  3. ↑ No death date for Abigail Turney is found in 1795. The year seems unlikely, as it would make her 107 - if the birth date is correct, and given that this date was posted without any indication of a marriage, one must suspect the quality of research.
