In his will of 15 January 1675[/6], Michael Pierce appointed "my brother Mark Eames and my brother Charles Stockbridge" as overseers [PCPR 3:2:8]. On the basis of this extract from the will of Michael Pierce, it has been suggested that Charles Stockbridge married a daughter of Anthony Eames {b. 1634, Charlestown}, but this is only one of several possibilities [NEHGR 133:187; GM 2:2:387-92].
[Note: Anderson has a reference to his own work, where he does not show a daughter Abigail in the family of Anthony Eames (in fact, he shows no child born after his migration to New England in 1634). Anderson shows no sign that there was a will, so there also is no evidence that there wasn't a daughter Abigail.]

"Abigail could have also been a sister of Pierce's second wife, Ann, or of Pierce himself."
