    "… Abigail Thorp, daughter of Nathaniel Thorp and Mary Ford of New Haven [FANH 1776). She was born 15 May 1676 in New Haven Connecticut (Barbour citing VR 1:66) and was alive on 13 May 1708, when her petition to annul her sentence of execution was heard by the colonial legislature and the legislature agreed to study it further. (Col. Recs. 5:62), but perhaps dead by hanging before 28 May 1708 … However, she may have succeeded in having her sentence annulled as, on 9 July 1708, her father named her in his will as Abigail Thorp (New Haven Probate Records, 2:171-172, FHL 5295. …"
