The TAG article cited on this page directly corrects errors about Abigail in the Burbank genealogy, and indirectly in the Goodridge, and Goodrich genealogies.
There are two Abigail Goodridges in Newbury (daughters of Daniel and Edmund, both b. 1712) that these various genealogies match with Nathan Burbank, while the TAG article shows it was the daughter of Josiah Goodridge of Berwick, Maine (b. 1715), that married Nathan Burbank, and subsequently Jacob Morrill. Josiah's will names his daughter Abigail Burbank.
- Burbank says it was Abigail, d/o Edmund Goodridge and Hannah Dole, that married Nathan Burbank.
- Goodrich says it was Abigail, d/o Daniel Goodridge and Mary Ordway that married Nathan Burbank, while the daughter of Edmund m. James Bean. The family of Josiah Goodridge is not mentioned.
- Goodridge says the daughter of Daniel married James Bean (p. 88), but does not show a marriage for the daughter of Edmund (p. 87) or Josiah (p. 89). Nobody is shown marrying Nathan Burbank.
These genealogies appear to have been fooled by the death record of "MORRILL, Abigail, wid." on 29 Dec 1797, a. 85, so born about 1712. However, this appears to be the Abigail Osgood, d/o William and Hannah Osgood, b. 22 Jan 1711/12, who m. 1731 Ebenezer Morrill, who d. 1785.
