[Note: this date conflicts with the death of the father March 1737/38, since it is well more than 9 months after that death. Abigail is labeled the daughter of Thomas and Hannah in both her birth, and her death in 1740. There is no indication that she is the daughter of only Hannah, or anything unusual about her parentage. The index of Worcester County probate shows Thomas's probate opening in 1738, which given how close his death is to the end of the legal year (24 Mar) would be practically impossible if he died 20 Mar 1738/39, so his death date seems correct, pending actual investigation of those probate records. Therefore, Abigail's birth probably should be 1738, making her only 4 months posthumous.]
