On the 1850 census we are unable to verify that we have found her. Her father's name is rig ht, and her age is right, but mother and siblings wrong. May be a transcription error.[Colli ns Twp., Alleganey Co., Pa.,p.336,fam#434/447] No other Abel Findley found fits the family . On the 1860 census, we find them in Farmington Twp., Van Buren Co., Ia., where Abigail i s 15. [p.420, fam#1559/1577] The family moved to Dallas Co., Ia., in 1861 [mother's obit. ] In her mother's estate in 1900, (#1376, Box F2) she is listed as living in Ridgedale, Pol k co., Ia., age 54. In the estate she receives $85.00 and later $57.83.
