Were Abigail and Thomas brother and sister? Who were Abigail's parents? When did Abigail marry William Beckwith and who was her second husband? Can Abigail Beckwith and her children (Elisha and Sarah) be found in the 1860 census of Wash. Co? Also hoping for the death date of William Beckwith.

I believe Abigail Bailey was a sister of Thomas Bailey. Their parents were Levi Bailey and Abigail (Nabby) Haskell of Poland, ME. I am descended (on my father's side) from their brother, Abner, who is probably a twin of Abigail. BTW, Thomas' wife's name was Rebulah, not Rebecca. She was a daughter of David Beverley and Sarah Jenks and I am descended from her sister, Mary Beverley, on my mother's side. I have no information on the Beckwith family, other than the 1850 census information you cited. I do have information on the Beverley and Bailey families. Levi Bailey was a first cousin of Nathaniel Bailey, the first settler of Baileyville, Washington Co., Maine. I believe we corresponded a few years ago regarding the Malloch/Glidden familes of Calais. I would be interested in any information you might have about Abigail (Bailey) Beckwith and her descendants.
