According to one source, Abbie and her sister Braska had a lawsuit about property left to them by their mother. People in Oak Grove Church took sides and it split the church. Bruce and Abbie Botts started Mt. Carmel Church as a result. However, Mt. Carmel Church was established several years before Sarah died. The dispute may have been over something else, but Sarah deeded property to Abbie in Feb. of 1925. Mt Carmel was established in 1929.
