Some published sources identify Aaron as the son of Isaac Ivins, Sr. and his second wife Lydia Brown, while some say he was the son of Isaac Ivins, Jr.[4] The probate record of the latter identifies Aaron as the son of Isaac Ivins, Jr.[3] However, his birth date (if the family bible[2] is correct) is before the known marriage of Isaac Ivins, Jr, to Mary Hopkins[5]. Therefore, if both these dates are correct, he must have been Isaac's son by an earlier marriage.
