  6. Aaron resided near Middletown, Frederick County, Maryland in 1784 through 1786 where 2 sons were baptized in Zion Reformed Church. By 1792 Aaron resided in Hampshire County, Virginia where he made an agreement with his father; after his father's death Aaron and Ann sold "the plantation" and returned to Maryland. In 1800 Aaron bought 150 acres of land called "Godman's Disappointment" from Henry Brandenburg and wife Caty, and Philip Fether and wife Barbara. Henry Brandenburg and Philip Fether paid Jacob Storme and wife Margaret, 125 pounds for the land in 1799 and sold it to Aaron for 275 pounds. On April 14, 1812 Aaron and Ann sold this land to Andrew Blucker and they moved to Ohio. Aaron bought land from Bonham Fox and wife Temperance, May 10, 1812 in Warren County, Ohio and in 1828 Aaron's heirs sold this land to John Cregg Jr.
  7. There was an Aaron Brandenburg Bible which gave names and birth dates of Aaron and Ann's children. This record can be found in the D.A.R. Library in Washington D.C. The Bible was in the possession of William Brandenburg and was destroyed by an accidental fire; Mrs Phillips of Lebanon, Ohio and also a descendant of Aaron provided this information to Sarah Golda Sitz.
  8. Ann was the daughter of Samuel Brandenburg. Family tradition goes thus:"Aaron first met Ann in an Inn or Tavern owned by her father in Hagerstown, Maryland. She had four sisters and they worked for their father in his Inn. Aaron along with four other young men were driving cattle to market and stopped for the night at the Inn. Ann (or Nancy, as she was also called) made the remark that the tall one was the one she would wait on, and she did so. The next morning before leaving Aaron had a conversation with Ann; he asked her name and she replied Ann Brandenburg. She asked his name and he said Aaron Brandenburg. Each thought the other was kidding; a courtship ensued in spite of the same surname and they were married." This was a favorite story with Ann.
