Obituary Harriet D. Towsley, 105.

  Harriet D. Towsley, 105, of Charlevoix, died Aug. 13, 1990, at Bortz Health Care of Petoskey.
  Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug 15, at the Winchester Funeral Home, Charlevoix.  The Rev. Lowell Anderson of the Charlevoix Assembly of God Church will officiate and burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Charlevoix.
  The former Harriet D. Murphy was born Jan 8, 1885, in Echo Township, Antrim County, the daughter of John and Margaret (Hosler) Murphy.  She grew up on that area and attended Pleasant Valley school.
   On June  (error?) 3 1905, she married Amos M. Towsley in East Jordan.  The couple moved to Charlevoix in 1921 and Mr. Towsley preceded her in death on June 4, 1969.
  Mrs. Towsley was a member of the Community Church of God.  She enjoyed gardening, particularly her flower gardens.
   Survivors include one son, Harold Towsley of Charlevoix; eight grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great grandchildren and one sister, Belle Sweet of East Jordan.
   The family suggests memorials to the Community Church of God in Charlevoix.  Envelopes for the purpose are available at the Winchester Funeral home, where friends may call 7-9 p.m. today.
