The date of death for Catherine (Catron) Trousdale Cowan, wife of Matthew Cowan is 1866.

Their son, William Wade Cowan was born 26 Nov 1825 and died 02 Jun 1891. He is my gg grandfather and these dates were recorded from his tombstone.

There is an additional son which should be added to the list of Matthew and Catron's children:

Josephus Cowan born 1807 and died 1839. The source for this information is court cases, after his death, concerning his children.
