Hi Sharon, Received your e-mail and attached family tree and found it to be quite interesting. Glad to respond with what little I know about the family. I will start with the family of John C. Lemley. Don't know where Carly got some of her information which is contrary to what I know of family history. We always celebrated Dad's birthday on Feb. 12, not Oct.2. The Year is correct at 1898. We did Live on a farm near McIntosh, SD until dad retired to live in McIntosh. He died of cancer at the age of 63. My mother Lydia was a sister to John Greger and you need to drop the "Mc" from her maiden name. This made Emma Greger's children double cousins so to speak. My sister Frances Lemley was was born June 6, 1933. Oscar was born on July 18 and Marvin on Oct.17. The years are correct. Oscar died in 1998 of cancer and my sister Frances was killed May 20 , 2004 in a car wreck as well as her husband, Albert Even. David Lemley was my favorite uncle! He spent considerable time with our family when he helped to build a new barn, house, and some outbuildings. He was a very pleasant and upbeat man. He made a car of wood for me from a scrap piece of 2X8 lumber that I pla yed with alot. He always had time to visit with us kids. In his later years, my wife and I would always stop to see him and Aunt Ada. Why was the Laemmle name changed to Lemley? Don't know the specifics but in general their was legal dificulty avoided in changing the name. That is all I could ever learn from my parents on the subject. I hope that I have shed more light than confusion. Sharon, if you have further questions, let me know. Thanks for the family tree. Clarence J. Lemley
