According to Jeanette's letter of 19 Jun 1986, the original family register of the Jacob Rilling family is in poor condition, pieces missing, tape on folds, etc. It was rolled up for 30 years. A 90-year old cousin of Helen Rilling had the original. She lived in Ohio, and evidently, she sent the original to Helen. Cost for restoration would be about $100 plus framing. It was suggested to have a picture made of it, then blown up. Apparently, there is more to it than the copy shows.
