The Pinecrest cemetery (Pinecrest Memorial Park) is located in Sandpoint. You would go west on Pine Street fromDivision St until you go under the railroad overpass. The next road to your right or north would be Pinecrest Road. Follow this road approximately ½ mile to the cemetery. This cemetery was founded in 1922 by Lawrence G Moon II and his wife, Hazel. During 1923 Ben Ross offered to sell 10 acres to L G Pike Moon and it was called Piedmont Cemetery. The original 4 graves are listed under Piedmont Cemetery. The cemetery was renamed by L. G. Moon and "Scoop" Schultz. In 1927 L. G. Moon and Hazel Moon incorporated the cemetery. There are several sections to the cemetery. It is currently owned and maintained by Dale G Coffelt of Coffelt Funeral Services. It is a private cemetery with perpetual care. It is well maintained. Permission to transcribe the tombstones was given by Dale Coffelt in June of 2000. Transcription of the Tombstones was complted between July and September of 2000 by Mary and Nellie Garrison.

Due to the size of the cemetery the file has been broken up into sections. This section includes the directions, history and subjects with the last name beginning with the letter A.
