Note that this death certificate was for Clifford Bitner Greeley, Sr. but the name given by his wife Sidney Hunt Greeley, the informant, was a combination of her own name and her sisters married name, Sidney Benton Greeley. The parents were listed as Charles E. Gruley and Emma B. Gruley and Clifford's parents were Charles E. Greeley and Emma Bitner. Sidney and Clifford were living in Three Rivers, Tulare Co., CA at the time of his death as was the person named on this death certificate. I have no doubt that this is the same man. Sidney in her distress simply gave out the wrong name.
