The Anderson/Harrison/Slade/Wilkerson Cemetery is located in Purly, Caswell County, NC, in between Yanceyville, NC and Danville, Va. There are between 20-25 kin buried here dating from the mid-1870's. Below is a list of the people buried here from such distinguished families. It is a family cemetery so all the people here are closely related in some form or another.

When this project was started by James Ezekiel Anderson, Mary A. Leggette, John Q. Anderson and Roger Anderson in the fall of 1995, the cemetery was in great dis-repair. It was overgrown with weeds and shrubs, the iron fence surrounding the cemetery was bent and broken in many places due to ice storms that snapped many of the pines that surrounded it. What was the most disturbing was that alot of the headstones had been knocked over by either the trees falling in the cemetery or vandals tipping them over.
