Virginia Line

Augusta County Walker, Alexander, Virginia Line, Jane, R11040, soldier married Jane daughter of Alexander Stuart in September 1777 in Augusta County the part that became Rockbridge County Virginia and soldier died there in 1820 and his widow died December 13, 1843. Soldier and wife raised a family of thirteen children and the following children survived their mother; Archibald B., Elizabeth, Pricilla and Malinda D. Walker, Jane widow of Walker Kelso of Kentucky and John C. Walker of Indiana.

On January 5, 1846 the son Archibald B. Walker aged 45 applied in Rockbridge County, Virginia, soldier had lived in Augusta County, Virginia in 1774 and was in the battle of Point Pleasant , being wounded in said battle, widow's sister Eleanor Walker aged 80 was a resident of Monroe County,Virginia in 1845 and she stated she was raised by her uncle Edward Hall of Augusta County,Virginia.

In 1845 Thomas Walker aged 82 was of Monroe County,Virginia but no kinship was given> In 1845 Elizabeth Stuart the widow of widow`s deceased brother Robert Stuart was age of 78 and she lived in Botetourt County,Virginia. In 1845 a James Walker aged 54 was reffered to but no kinship was given, In 1852 Thomas H. Walker aged 68 and a Joseph Walker aged 50 was a Justice of the Peace (JP) for Rockbridge Co.,Virginia were shown in the claim but their kinship "if any" to soldier's family was not given.

King George CountyWalker, Charles, Virginia Line, S7802, soldier was born in 1760 in King George County, Virginia and at age of 7 he went to live with Bedford County the part that became Campbell County, Virginia and he lived there at enlistment and he lived there when he applied September 10, 1832, in June 1835 soldier's widow Frances Walker stated he died January 3, 1835.

Brunswick County Walker, David, Virginia Line, Bounty Land Warrant # 345-200-18 April 1807, on November 27, 1786 the Rev soldier David Walker Jr`s will was recorded in Brunswick County,Virginia in which he named as executors David Walker Sr. and Benjamin Jones, Bounty Land Warrant was issued to Thomas D. Harris of Henrico County, Virginia and vice executor Peter Robertson ( Benjamin Jones was deceased).

County Not known Walker, Edward, Bounty Land Warrant # 12651-100-5 November 1789, served as a private in the Virginia Line.

Allegheny Co, PA Walker, Edward, Virginia Line, S40640, applied February 10, 1821 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania aged about 90 and was supported by the Overseer of the Poor since 1815, in 1821 soldier had no family he knew of ( having not heard from his wife and chilren since the Rev War).

Charles City CountyWalker, Edward, Virginia Line, S41302, applied June 18, Charles City County, Virginia aged 55, soldier enlisted in King William County, Vriginia in 1820 soldier had liing with him a son of age also a female of age and an infant aged 2, no names given.

Middlesex County Walker, Francis, Virginia Line, Hannah, R11037, Bounty Land Warrant# 47812-160-55, soldier married Hannah Revier in June 1813 in Middlesex County, Virginia , soldier lived in Northumberland County, Virginia at enlistment, soldier died July 28, 1839 in Middlesex County, Virginia , widow applied September 21, 1853 in Middlesex County, Virginia aged 79, widow stated soldier had applied in 1835, widow applied for Bounty Land Warrant, on June 23, 1855 in Middlesex County,Virginia.

South CarolinaWalker, George, Continental Line ( Virginia), S39115, applied May 24, 1825 Spartanburg District, South Carolina aged 64, in 1820 soldier stated he had no family or home.

North Carolina Line

Mecklenburg County Walker, Andrew, North Carolina Line, S7830, soldier was born December 5, 1756 in the County Atrium in Ireland and at age of 11 he came to America and landed at Charleston,South Carolina and he lived in South Carolina for five years then moved to North Carolina and he lived in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina at enlistment and he applied there November 8, 1832, soldier died September 20, 1846 leaving a son John Walker who was aged 74 in 1855 and lived in Union County, North Carolina in 1832. [A John Walker was Justice of the Peace (JP) for Mecklenburg County,North Carolina]

Orange County [?] Walker, North Carolina Line, R11029, soldier was born October 5, 1758 in the County Derry in Ireland and he came with his parents to Wilmington, North Carolina in 177? and they went from there to Orange County, North Carolina where soldier had lived since and he applied there in 1834.

Person County Walker, Buckley, North Carolina Line, Milley or Mildred, W6407, soldier applied in December 1832 in Person County, North Carolina aged 79, soldier married Milley (_______) in July 1784 and soldier died May 10, 1838 and his widow applied November 5, 1842 in Person County, North Carolina aged 80

Guilford CountyWalker, Daniel, North Carolina Line, Elizabeth, R11035, soldier married Elizabeth (_________) December 24, 1783 in Guilford County, North Carolina and soldier died January 28, 1830, widow applied January 30, 1845 in Lincoln County,Missouri aged 91, a daughter Mary Lyles aged 68 made affidavit June 9, 1852 in Lincoln County, Missouri and stated her mother Elizabeth Walker died September 6, 1846 leaving children; Mary Lyles, Isabel Bean, James Walker, Elizabeth Behers and Rosanna Denny.

Iredell County Walker, David, North Carolina Line, Lydia, R11047, soldier was born October 17, 1760 in Chester County, Pennsylvania and he lived in Iredell County North Carolina at enlistment, soldier married October 15, 1785 to Lydia (_____) in Bedford County,Virginia , soldier applied March 3, 1834 in Highland County, Ohio and soldier died there April 6 or 9, 1842 and his widow applied there in 1852 aged 90 years, children shown were; James bor in 1790 or 1791 and was deceased in 1852, Sarah who was born in 1793 and she married Ashley Johnson, William who was born April 11, 1797, Jesse, David, John who was aged 44 in 1852, Elias and Catherine , in 1852 it was stated there were two children older than James but they were deceased ( their names not given).


Duplin County Walker, Edward, North Carolina Line, Jane, R11041, soldier was born 1756 in North Carolina , he lived in Duplin County, North Carolina at enlistment, soldier married Jane daughter of Frederick House or Horne of Hawkins County, Tennessee but they were married in Sullivan County, Tennesse about May 1st,1790 , soldier applied April 25, 1833 in Claiborne County, Tennessee, soldier died August 26 or 27, 1838, widow applied May 19, 1840 in Claiborne County, Tennessee aged 69, children were; Joseph born June 26, 1791, William born May 15, 1792, Edward born September 7, 1795, Martha born November 9, 1797, John W. born October 20, 1801, Samuel born January 30,1802 or January 31, 1803 , Jonathan born June 2 or 4, 1805, Henry N. or H. born November 16, 1809, Susanna born November 5, 1809, Margaret born April 15, 1812 and Elizabeth born May 30, 1815, in 1845 the son Jonathan Walker was a minister of the Gospel, the son Joseph Walker made affidavit September 4, 1843 in Claiborne County, Tennessee, after the Rev soldier had lived in Russell County, Virginia for a while then moved to Tennessee.
