Simon and Jane arrived Timandra 23 Feb 1842. Mentions letter from Simon and Jane to parents dated 8 Mar 1842, printed in the 'Letters from New Plymouth 1843' book. Family at Hurden, now Weston in 1853. Jane and children evacuated to Nelson during Maori disturbances of 1860. 'Taranaki Almanac and Official Directory' of 1869 lists Simon as farmer at Huirangi. By 1873, Fred and John Andrews farmed at Huirangi and Waitara respectively. 1876, William farming at Okato, Simon listed as commissioner for the Huirangi, no 11 Road District. NP Courthouse records in May 1879 list Elizabeth b 19 Sep 1849, Simon = labourer. Anna Maria (Hannah Maria) b 13 Jun 1853, father a farmer. Emma b 24 July 1855, father a farmer. Mentions Simon's obituary, and Mrs Andrews having recently had an accident. Includes a copy of the proclamation for leaving the district dated 6 Aug 1860, and that Jane, Simon and grandchild Eliza are buried in Huirangi. Also lists children, husbands and numbers of children from the 1941 centennial book in the NP
