Further research has shown that while Mrs. Edes' manuscript is fairly accurate in the earlier generations, it has many errors.Much of this can be attributed to the memories of her correspondents. The manuscript really is a chronicle of the correspondence she carried out with various members of the family during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
