«i»Former City Teacher Dies Miss Frances C. Williams, former teacherin city and rural schools in the community, died late Friday afternoon at Memorial hospital after a long illness. Miss Williams was born July 11, 1901, at the Williams ranch home on Tongue River. She graduated from Sheridan high school and taught in rural schools in the country before continuing college study at the University of Nebraska where she earned her bachelor of science degree. here, she was a member of Pi Lambda Theta, honorary scholastic society.

She then taught in the junior high school at Havre, Mont., for 16 years before joining the Sheridan school system in which she taught 5 1/2 years. She graduated from Colorado State Teachers College at Greeley with an MS degree in 1942. Miss Williams was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Sheridan, the Presbyterian Guild, the AAUW, National Education association, Wyoming Education association, and was a past president of the Sheridan branch of Classroom Teachers.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. ralph DeLapp of the Kirby star route and Miss Eunice Williams of Acme; three brothers, Bowen Williams of Banner, Roy Williams of Banner and Alfred Williams, Fort Collins, Colo. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 3 p.m. from the Presbyterian church with the Rev. H. Cameron McClure officiating. The Reed mortuary is in charge of arrangments.«/i»
