This indenture made this fourteenth day of May anno domini one thousand eight hundred and ten between Henry Maddison[,] Robert Maddison[,] Lewis Day[,] and Ann his wife who before intermarriage with the said Lewis was Ann Maddison[,] William Sydnor and Elizabeth his wife who before intermarriage was Elizabeth Maddison[,] John Crenshaw and Hannah his wife who before intermarriage was Hannah Maddison[,] Richard Tisdale and Sarah his wife who before intermarriage was Sarah Maddison[,] Caleb Breeding and Fanny his wife who before intermarriage was Fanny Maddison[,] all of the County of Harrison in the State of Kentucky of the one part Which said Henry[,] Robert[,] Ann[,] Elizabeth[,] Hannah[,] Sarah[,] and Fanny are Children & heirs of John Maddison and Mary Maddison deceased which said Mary before her intermarriage with the said John Maddison decd. was Mary Cluverius sister of Benjamin Cluverius late of the County of King & Queen decd. of the one part and Robert Pollard of the County of King William & State of Virginia of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Henry Maddison[,] Robert Maddison[,] Lewis Day and Ann his wife[,] William Sydnor and Elizabeth his wife[,] John Crenshaw and Hannah his wife[,] Richard Tisdale and Sarah his wife[,] Caleb Breeding and Fanny his wife[,] for and in consideration of four hundred & twenty nine pounds nineteen shillings the receipt whereof they and each of them respectively do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained & sold & by these presents do bargain grant bargain & sell unto the said Robert Pollard all that & each of their right title and interest in and to a certain tract or parcel of land lying & being in the Parish of St. Stephen & County of King & Queen & State of Virginia in which the sd. Benjamin Cluverius decd. Died seized & possessed containing by estimation four hundred and nineteen acres be the same more or less together with its appurtenances and unto the said Robert Pollard his heirs and assigns forever & the said Henry Maddison[,] Robert Maddison[,] Lewis Day & Ann his wife[,] William Sydnor & Elizabeth his wife[,] John Chrenshaw[sic] & Hannah his wife[,] Richard Risdale & Sarah his wife[,] & Caleb Breeding & Fanny his wife[,] do by these presents jointly and severally forever warrant & defend the sd. gtract or parcel of land with its appurtenances unto the sd. robert Pollard his heirs & assigns against themselves & their and each of their heirs & assigns & warrant all & every other person or persons whomsoever claiming or to claim by for or under them or either of them in witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year above written.

This day personally came before us the undersigned Justices of the Peace in & for the County aforesd. Ann Day[,] Elizabeth Sydnor[,] Hannah Crenshaw[,] Saah Tisdale[,] & Fanny Breeden who were severally examined apart from their husbands agreeable to law & relinquished their right to dower & put their several signatures to this Deed given under our hands & seals this fourteenth of May 1810 Josephus Perrin [L.S.] Chichester Churn[?] [L.S.]

May County Court 1810 This deed from Henry Maddison[,] Robert Maddison[,] Lewis Day[,] Ann Day his wife[,] William Sydnor & Elizabeth his wife[,] John Chrenshaw[sic] & Hannah his wife[,] Richard Tisdale & Sarah his wife[,] & Caleb Breeden & Fanny his wife to Robert Pollard was acknowledged by the same Henry Maddison[,] Robert Maddison[,] Lewis Day[,] William Sydnor[,] John Crenshaw[,] Richard Tisdale & Caleb Breeden & with a certificate these are indorsed [?] was ordered to be recorded & certified to the County of King & Queen in the State of Virginia.
