Image Information

Farmers field on the southside of the Nolichucky, facing west, near the point where Meadow Creek enters the river (to the right). Meadow Creek John Walker settled near this location. The area shown probably includes his property, but the exact location of his home is unknown. This particular location sits adjacent to the road which now crosses the Nolichucky; No bridge would have existed here in 1786, but this is a likely point where the river could be forded. That makes this location particularly plausible for MCJW's homesite. Q 10:14, 9 March 2009 (EDT)
