Two things seem to be missing from this help page. How to deal with name prefixes such as 'Van' and what to do if there are two versions of the same person. Gam3 09:17, 28 April 2007 (MDT)

[add comment] [edit] Person page titles when given name is unknown [27 April 2011]Person pages tutorial addresses handling unknown surnames. Is there a preferred way to handle unknown given names when the surname is known. Three approaches occur to me: Son, Daughter or Child; Male or Female; or Unknown for all. Personally, I prefer son daughter or child.--Jaques1724 15:33, 27 April 2011 (EDT)
[add comment] [edit] The description box [12 March 2016]In "3 Lesson Three: Entering events and facts" there is no mention of the third box in any Event: the description box. The description box can contain any useful but brief bit of information that is not contained in the date or the place box. For instance, a street address, a church where a baptism, marriage or burial took place, an occupation as given in a census, or a cause of death. This may be covered in a further lesson in this chapter, but I haven't read that far at the moment. --Goldenoldie 13:35, 12 March 2016 (UTC) |
