From William Brigham and Susanna Shattuck (1): no sources leads to errors [20 March 2012]

This page is the result of merging together three separate pages all proposing that Susanna Shattuck married a William Brigham/Bingham. Over the course of time, they were merged together apparently as the result of guesses that they all meant the same persons, but not apparently, because any sources were ever consulted. At least, none were ever presented.

Never, ever, not when created, and never along the way, was any information ever input describing anything about this William Brigham other than his name. Never, ever, was any date or marriage location input. Not one source listed. It was simply a match of a name William Brigham with Susanna Shattuck. But yet the page was created three times. Every single change outside of merging these three together into one was to Susanna, never to William.

Susanna Shattuck m. Joseph Morse, then as Susanna Moss m. John Fay, then as Susanna Fay m. Thomas Brigham, and died as his wife. These marriages are a matter of record. So clearly she did not marry William. In fact, I cannot find a William Brigham that would be a suitable match.

One can only guess that this page is apparently the result of a typo in Descendants of William Shattuck which on p. 380 says she married William Brigham, but on p. 385 says Thomas. Thomas is correct as only a small amount of checking would quickly show. I am merging this with Thomas and Susanna. --Jrich 00:00, 21 March 2012 (EDT)
