Family talk:James Harris and Sarah Denison (1)

Disputed Lineage [14 January 2012]

FYI, according to Source:NEHGR, p. 154:3-5, "Without proof or discussion, however, he [Morgan, i.e., Source:Morgan, Nathaniel Harris. Morgan Genealogy : A History of James Morgan of New London, Conn., and His Descendants, from 1607 to 1869 ... with an ] also gave Sarah a surname Denison based, it seems, on the fact that Robert Denison witnessed James' will and was one of the two bondsmen for the administration of his son Asa's estate."

"The statement that Sarah was a Denison is often repeated, but apparently no writer has put forth evidence or an argument in support of the old claim."

"...circumstances discussed next below indicate that his wife was probably Sarah Eliot, ... daughter of Jacob and Margery (---) Eliot." --Jrich 14:41, 14 January 2012 (EST)
