What is the source for identifying these parents for this Richard newton?

I have found other web sites claiming Richard's parents were "Isaac and Thankful Newton" but again with no support for the claim.

There were many other instances of Isaac, Thankful and Richard Newton's among the descendants of this Richard Newton so it is important to keep them properly distingushed.

Have they been confused with the parents of a different Richard Newton?--Jhamstra 15:57, 14 June 2011 (EDT)
