Memorials of the Descendants of William Shattuck : The Progenitor of the Families in America That Have Borne His Name, p. 137, reports the marriage date as 25 Sep 1788, which if correct implies the July date is intentions. However no record of the Sept. date is found in published VRs. He reports the birth of their first child as 12 Dec 1789 (p. 183) while Groton VRs report it as 12 Dec 1788.
