Note: Richard Rieves Scott and William Thomas Scott were closely associated with James Scott of Screven County, Georgia. James was named Guardian of these two minors in 1812, and gave annual reports to the Court on them. Richard later witnessed several documents for James, including his Last Will and Testament in 1829, and Addendum in 1832. William Thomas Scott is even named in his James’ Will as the son of William Scott
