  1.   Source:Jackson, Francis. History of the Early Settlement of Newton, County of Middlesex, Massachusetts, from 1639 to 1800, p. 401, adds sons named Jeremiah and Robert with no birth dates, based on the son William Jr., whose 1746/1754 will "names his bros. Jeremiah and Robert, late of Newton". There is no evidence that William Sr. had sons named Jeremiah or Robert (e.g., no birth, marriage, or death record; Bond, p. 913, says Samuel and Nathanial Sparhawk appointed guardians of underage Samuel and Jonathan, no guardian for Jeremiah or Robert?) William Jr. had a son Jeremiah (1705-1754), and, without the benefit of the full will, one is inclined to believe Jackson misinterpreted whose brothers they were, probably being brothers of one of William Jr.'s sons, not William Jr. himself?
