This is the last will and testament

of me William Holmer of Union Street Southwark in the County of in Surrey Ironmonger.  I bequeath to my daughter Margaret Trapp my Bible with notes and commentaries by The Reverend Mnstr Brown in 2 volumes as a token of remembrance and regard.  I give to my daughter Mary Ann Blackman all my household furniture plate linen glass wines and spirits and all my domestic chattels and effects in Union Street aforesaid together with all my library of books and all works of a literary character to and for her own sole use and benefit independently of her present or any future husband.  I bequeath to my said daughter Mary Ann Blackman the sum of three hundred pounds for her own use and to be at her disposal and I direct that a sum of two hundred pounds shall be set apart from my estate before the division thereof hereinafter directed and to be paid out and invested for the benefit of my said daughter Mary Ann Blackman and her children in addition to the share in the general division of my estate.  I give and bequeath to my friend Luke Embleton of New Park Street Southwark Engineer and Samuel Irvings (not sure of that surname)  of Gibson Square and of South Street Islington Ironmonger the sum of fifty pounds apiece.  I give devise and bequeath to the said Luke Embleton and Samuel Irvings and my son Charles Holmer all and singular my menages lands hereditaments estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and whether freehold something leasehold or of what tenure or kind soever which I may die possessed of or be interested in or certified(?) to in remainder coversion or [occupancy] to hold the same unto the said Luke Embleton and Samuel Irvings and my said son their wives executors administrators and assignees attending to the nature

And as to one other equal fourth part I direct upon trust to pay to my daughter Louisa Henrietta Allen the sum of three hundred pounds part thereof for her sole separate and absolute use and to be free from the control or engagement of her present or any future husband. And as to the residue of the remaining fourth part is upon trust for my said daughter Louisa Henrietta Allen for her life for her sole and separate use and after her decease for her children or child in like manner as is here in before directed with respect to my said daughter Margaret as if the same were hers [separated?] and as to the remaining one fourth part or share ordered upon trust for my said son Charles Holmer his heirs executors administrators or assignees for his and their absolute use and benefit . And I do hereby direct and declare that in case my said daughters respectively shall die leaving a child or children her.....
