Page 326. At the request of William Franklin, the following deed ofgift was recorded on Apr 5, 1749. I, John Franklin of CC, planter, forthe natural fatherly love I have for my son, William, and for 1000 lbstobacco and for divers other good causes, I give William and his maleheirs, and in case William should die without male heirs, then I giveto my son, Joseph Franklin and his heirs, a tract of land in CC calledFranklins Addition, lying between Nanjemy Glebe called Hoocknorton,the land of Thomas Milstead, and the land of Joseph Thomas. Also, 33acres, being part of a tract of land called Moless Venture, lying onthe north side of the Main _, containing in all and laid out for about103 acres. Signed Mar 15, 1748 [/9] - John Francklin. Wit - ThosStone, Allen Davies. Mary, wife of the said John Franklin, releasedher dower.
