William Allen married for the second time about 1634 to Elizabeth ---, who, it is thought, might be Elizabeth Greenway based on a deposition of "Vrsly Greenoway" [Ursula Greenway, Elizabeth's sister] regarding the will of John Bradley of Salem who left some "clothes & tooles" to his brother in law William Allen. Since John Greenway identifies his daughter Elizabeth Allen in a deed 5 Feb 1650/1, and there is otherwise no known explanation for Ursula's involvement in a Salem probate case, this is used to support the idea that Elizabeth's husband was William Allen.

Comments... "Brother-in-law of John Bradley of Salem (nuncupative will of John Bradley, June 1642 [ EPR 1:18]); some have interpreted this to mean that William Allen's second wife was sister of John Bradley [ Essex Ant 2:135], but this is only one of several possible explanations for the brother-in-law relationship."
