We know that the couple were not married in 1880 since Watson is listed on the census for this year as single.
It is difficult to know the exact year of marriage from census records alone since the 1890 census was destroyed by fire in 1921.
It states on the 1900 census for Watson that the number of years of his present marriage is 15, despite also being listed as a widow. I am not sure if the 15 years refers to how long he was married before becoming a widower or how long ago (From 1900) he got married. However, since we know that Florence Mary (His Wife) died seven months earlier we can get a fairly accurate guess within a year or two.
