New England Families, Genealogical and Memorial, Vol. 2, p. 724, has some rather fanciful story about Thomas Wood, s/o Thomas Wood and Hannah Alden, following his uncle Noah Alden to Stafford when Noah was ordained there, with Thomas marrying Dinah --- and settling there. However, the son of Thomas Wood and Hannah Alden was born 1731/32 so would not have been old enough to marry before 1746. (The son is actually supposed to have married Sarah Thomas according to one of the Mayflower Families Through 5 Generations books.)
