Thomas was the son of Samuel Elliott WHITESIDES b. abt 1753 Mechum's Creek, Albermarle Co, Virginia and Elizabeth BRACKETT. Elizabeth BRACKETT was born in, Bedford Co, Virginia about 1755. Thomas Jefferson WHITESIDE married Sarah McCREERY on 28 Oct 1816 when Sarah was 16 years old. Their oldest daughter was Agnes WHITESIDE who has been listed in our family history as part Indian.
