- Source:Merrill, Samuel. Merrill Memorial, p. 261, adds an eleventh child, Moses, "b. 1756, d. 1756". Not only is the gap between Sarah and Moses, and the previous sibling Martha, b. 1746, that is proposed by the author suspicious, there is no record found for either the birth or death of Moses found in the Salisbury VRs. Another Moses Merrill, a deacon, so clearly not a child of this family, did die in 1756, making one wonder if the author was confused here?
