  1.   (James) Theodore Cook changed his surname to Burns at one point in his adult life when he left the family home. Fred Cook (fourth child of Ted and Edna)adopted the surname Burns and passed it to his children, Louise, Richard and Linda.

    Doris Mary Cook Force is the fifth child of Ted and Edna, wife of Clarence Edward Force until their divorce in 1955. There are two children from this marriage: 1940 - Jane Melinda Force Chaffee Raymond and 1944 - Jill Elizabeth Force Stern, the writer of this note.
