  2. Source:Daniels, George F. History of the Town of Oxford, Massachusetts, Vol. 2, p. 730, speculates on various children of Seth Twitchell. He only has records on Jerusha, Josiah, Seth and Dorothy. He says proof exists for son Jeremiah [he may be referring to a deed, but it is known that Jeremiah was administrator of Seth's estate], there is a deed selling to Abner and Seth Jr. [though their relation is apparently not explicit since he doesn't say they are proven], and then he speculates about various people found in the Athol records. Benoni and Enos, plus Abner and Seth, are found in the Dudley records, so those choices are all proven. Then the author adds a son John, d. 1802, age 48. This would place his birth in 1754, the same year as Abner. If Abner is baptized why not John? Thus this is not so clear cut, and probably needs more evidence than a death in Athol. One might expect another child around 1740, but nobody appropriate has been located.
