There are reasons to suspect that Mary Demond is a misrecorded form of Mary Freeman and that Samuel Hinckley only had one wife (discussed on Person:Mary Freeman (1)). Source:Hinckley, E. Charles. Hinckley Heritage and History (1982) asserts this second marriage without providing evidence, and then it has been copied by other sources, but no primary sources can be found to show this assertion is valid. Some form of primary source is needed to show that this page is not a mistake.
