The pedigree presented in this and other early publications places the marriage of Robert Sheffied and Genette Lownde in the reign of Edward I (1272-1307). However, the bond between Alexander Lownde (Genette's father) and Robert Sheffield was dated 11 July, 34 Henry VI (1456) (see Robert's page).

The pedigree claims that this Robert Sheffield married Isolde/Isabel, daughter and heir of Sir Ulster Moyne, Knight, of which Notes on the Visitation of Lincolnshire 1634 p. 150 says "One is tempted to think the name Ulster may be wrongly written for something else, ..." suggesting there is no record of an Ulster Moyne in the 15th century. Possibly this marriage occurred earlier in the lineage (if at all).
