  4. ↑ if they married in Bere Ferrers between 1713 and 1754, I missed it. The earliest known child baptised in Bere Ferrers is Mary in Jan 1743, which clearly states "and Elizabeth his wife", which discounts the marriage on the IGI of a Robert Pyke and Elizabeth Maynard in Mary Tavy in Nov 1743. I note that the IGI also has a 1739 marriage at Pymouth St Andrew in May 1739 which would fit by date (to Elizabeth Gill), but if this is the couple who subsequently had children baptised in Pennycross, then the dates cross those of known children in Bere Ferrers and can be discounted. I don't have ready access to St Andrews' baptisms in the right period to check as yet
