He married October 2, 1712, Mary Leighton, of Kittery, Maine. Children: Paul, born 1713; Elizabeth, 1714; Mary, 1614 [sic]; Samuel, 1722, a distinguished captain of the old French and Italian wars; Jonathan, 1726; Lydia, 1730; Benjamin, 1732.
