- ↑ The birth record for daughter Abigail gives the mother's maiden name, "Dinah Goodeno" [Goodenow], indicating it is illegitimate.
With the birth as 20 Sep 1760, this record makes no sense, as Oliver and Dinah married their respective spouses in 1757. However, on closer inspection, it looks like the zero was added in different ink, and the original date might have said 156, i.e, was incompletely specified. So it is presumed that 1756 was intended, which then does made sense, making it clear why this is recorded right before a listing of all of Dinah's children with Solomon Eager, presumably made when they moved to Warwick. Presumably Abigail was living with this family.
Allred, p. 43, shows Oliver Brigham m. Dinah Gooden with daughter Abigail, but that appears to all be assumption based on Abigail's birth record, as no marriage date is given, and there is no other sign of such a person.
