"The statement is made on page 120 of Orcutt's History of Stratford that (Moses Wheeler's) wife's name was Miriam and that she was a sister of Joseph Hawley of that town, the head of the Hawley family in America. This may be correct, but the compiler of this article (Frank Farnsworth Starr) has thus far failed to find any evidence on the subject, and the date of the marriage is unknown to him."
